Federal Pell Grant Update

On March 23, 2018, the President signed Public Law 115-141 which included changes to the 2018-2019 Federal Pell Grant.  Under this bill, the 2018-2019 Federal Pell Grant amounts may increase.

As a result, the Office of Student Financial Aid Services will be revising financial aid packages for students impacted by this positive change.  Please monitor your UConn email for a notification from our office if your financial aid package is adjusted.

Policy Update #2

We are pleased to provide the following update related to the release of financial aid information to third party scholarship agencies.

The U.S. Department of Education’s Privacy Technical Assistance Center has reversed their previous guidelines that prevented us from completing and sending scholarship forms directly to third party scholarship organizations.  With your permission, we may now complete and submit the form on your behalf.

Depending on the type of financial aid you may be seeking, this may not apply to you.  Please visit https://financialaid.uconn.edu/external/ for more information.
